The Electric Barge is a unique floating events venue based on the Grand Union Canal in Paddington. We operate catered canal cruises along the Regent’s Canal between Paddington and Kings Cross. Perfect for birthdays, wedding receptions, hen/stag parties and office parties, our busy venue is always looking for enthusiastic team members to help us deliver meaningful and memorable events for our clients.

Events Crew (Freelance)

Role: Casual Events Crew
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Contract: Freelance

We’re looking for upbeat freelance Events Crew to join the team on board the Electric Barge.

Join our freelance events crew on board the Electric Barge! We offer competitive rates of pay and the flexibility to choose your shifts. Mostly evening and weekend work although more mid-week work will be available throughout our peak summer season from July to September. The average shift is 5.5 hours long.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • An upbeat and can-do attitude.

  • Sound judgement and a proactive mindset.

  • The ability to engage positively with others with a friendly & welcoming approach.

  • A good command of spoken English.

  • The right to work in the UK (you will be asked to provide proof at the interview stage).

  • Experience in the hospitality industry in a customer facing role would be advantageous.

To be considered for this role you must be available for evening and weekend shifts. Our ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and a proactive approach.
